Halloween 2016 - DIY Gumball Machine Costume

November 9, 2016

The election is over. The people have spoken. Like it or not, Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States of America. I didn't vote for him, but I refuse to let this election crush my spirit.

So let's talk about Halloween instead. My company has a costume contest every year. They have winners for both store-bought and homemade costumes. The last two years we dressed up as a group. (Charlie's Angels, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) This year, we decided to do our own thing. I remembered pinning a super cute idea last year and attempted my first DIY costume.

This is my take on The Joy of Fashion's gumball machine costume. I was seriously thrilled with how well it turned out. And it was super easy!

materials - hot glue gun, white tank, red skirt, assorted pom-poms,
felt, scissors, headband, and a Sharpie

I also carried around a clear bag of gumballs.

And for fun, here's most of our crew.

LOL so many great costumes. The gumball machine is brilliant. The frog in the front made me laugh, even his crouched position was perfect. The rock, paper, scissors group costume was also a favorite. So much fun.
